​Eye Care Coach was founded by Dean Thompson and built on 40 years of experience across the optical industry, from the lab and dispensing floor to Contact Lens Practitioner work, ownership, and leadership in both independent practice and large scale retail environments. That range matters because it creates a clear view of what really drives performance in a clinic, not just in theory, but in day to day operations.

Along the way, Dean has mentored and trained many new opticians, including serving as an instructor, has served as a Subject Matter Expert, and has supported professional standards through program advisory involvement and national examining. Today, Eye Care Coach brings that experience into one mission: to help independent optical practices improve profitability and strengthen patient engagement with practical, repeatable systems that teams can actually use.
